The Plan

So I'm pretty excited about this summer. I'll be blogging about my travels through China and Taiwan from June through August, courtesy of the Light Fellowship.

The Plan

Now to May 26: Yale
I'll be chilling at Yale, playing the carillon, eating, spending time outdoors (if the sun decides to cooperate), reading summer novels and seeing a ton of my friends who are going to be here.

May 26 to June 7: California
Back to the best state in the Union. More of the same, i.e. reading, eating, spending time outdoors, chilling. Let me know if you're going to be in Socal.

June 8 to June 13: Shanghai
This'll be my first time in China, so I figured I'd start it off by seeing this crazy city. I know a couple of people who are going to be in Shanghai for internships this summer, so I'll be staying with them, exploring the city and hanging out.

June 13 to August 16: Beijing
(What I'm actually going to China for.) I'll be studying Chinese at Harvard Beijing Academy and staying through the first week of the Olympics. I'm really excited.

August 16 to August 26: Taiwan
I have family in Taiwan (mostly in 台中 Taichung), so I will be relaxing with them after what promises to be an intense nine weeks at HBA. I'm really looking forward to going back to Taiwan, since I was last back two years ago. Definitely let me know if you're going to be in Taiwan -- I'd love to hang out!

Post

My address while I'm in Beijing will be:

(Name)
Harvard Beijing Academy
Convention Center
Beijing Language and Culture University
15 Xueyuan Lu, Haidian Qu

or

(姓名)

And that's about it -- 11
½ weeks abroad in total. It should be fun. :)
